Legendary soccer manager Harry Redknapp has been part of London's preparations for their Connacht SFC opener against Sligo.

Exiles boss Ciaran Deely invited the charismatic Londoner to attend one of his team's 90-minute training sessions last week after the former Tottenham, West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Bournemouth, Birmingham and QPR gaffer expressed an interest in seeing what gaelic football was all about.

It was during his time at QPR that former Wexford footballer Deely made Redknapp's acquaintance. The London GAA manager worked with the QPR Academy set-up earlier this decade while Harry - known as one of soccer's greatest wheeler-dealers - was at the helm.

The Englishman was very impressed by the skill levels and intensity of the Exiles, although it remains to be seen whether or not he will be cheering them on against the Yeats men in Ruislip on May 6th.
