Tom Ryan is expected to be appointed as the GAA's new Director General today.
The Irish Times is reporting that the Carlow native - who is the outgoing director of finance - will be unveiled as Páraic Duffy's successor following a meeting of Central Council this afternoon.
A member of Dublin club Faughs GAA, Ryan is a qualified chartered account and has worked in Croke Park since 2007.
His name will be put before a meeting of the GAA's top brass for ratification.
The search for the new director general was headed up by GAA president John Horan and his predecessor Aogán Ó Fearghail.
