Roscommon will have to make do without key defender Neil Collins once again next season.

Collins missed out on his county's first Connacht SFC title success in seven years this past summer due to work commitments in New York and at a media event tonight, manager Kevin McStay confirmed that the Castlerea native will be staying on in the Big Apple for 2018.

A two-time Sigerson Cup winner with DCU, Collins' last appearance for Roscommon came as a substitute in the 2016 Connacht semi-final victory over Sligo as a hamstring injury ruled him out for the remainder of that season.

In better news for the Rossies, Cathal Cregg and the Daly brothers - Niall, Conor and Ronan have all rejoined McStay's panel in preparation for the Connacht FBD League which begins early next month.
