Replying To baire:  "I used to admire McManus and some of the other Monaghan forwards but I wasn't impressed with their goading of young fellas at the end of that game last Sunday, very poor form tbh."
Ah sure we can all pick holes the galway players broke away before national anthem was finished suck it up fella

Replying To Adler:  "I don't really think Tommy Kerr has had "umpteen" chances in fairness. There are others who've had double the chances and have still offered nothing. It's worth pointing out that Kerr won an important game away to Roscommon for us a few years back with two magnificent long range points. His development wasn't helped by Malachy starting him on that wet night in Croker in 2014 v Kildare. That was madness. I honestly don't think the management know his best position. Personally I think he'd be a wonderful half back as he could get on the ball more."
Totally agree made for half back carey has had more chances and offers less

Some achievemenet to win the double second time in 100 years and were winner of club of the year. they are shinning example of what can be done with good management."
Ye a win at all costs mentality not exactly the best representatives monaghan have sent to compete in ulster intermediate some of the of the stories coming back are shocking

Replying To MalsBalls:  "what are peoples obsession with MOR? remember Longord 2016, Down 2017, Fermanagh 2018 and Cavan 2019? We scraped into a semi final in '18 after the easiest qualifier run and 1 flash in the pan vrs galway, We maintained our division 1 status every year by the skin of our teeth and lucky results elsewhere just like under current management"
Ulster final 13 14 15 we didnt scrape into an all ireland semi as we topped the group of kerry kildare galway 1 point away from an all ireland final and has proven yet again with glen in derry that he has the knowhow and as someone else said no bull no spindoctoring we were cat against mayo no pace up front due to fellas not wanting to play under this setup its definitely fells like 2010 again

Its funny that after we lost only our third ulster match in 5 seasons (donegal 14 ,donegal 16 ,down 17 ) that some supporters lose faith then you realise there not so hardcore

Theres a few people waiting for monaghan to be bet so they can justify that were going nowhere ,underachieving ,not getting the most all these sh@@e comments thats more akin to the cavan threads ,there keeping powder dry there not going to comment till after the q final if were not going to make positive suggestions ie positional switches systems etc were part of the problem we are going to be bet lads in the next 4 to 5 weeks theres no doubt but solutions lads solutions positive thinking

Its a good result considering were deep in transition staying in div 1 would be a great achievement with all the new faces but not the end of the world if we go to div 2 its all about ulster and its there for anyone to win when you see who won it last year

Replying To moodoo:  "" each and everyone of the players have his support in all matters.. ". You're joking, right? As for the Kerry game, it was lost long long before Rory was caught out. We weren't next nor near them, that game was lost. We performed OK against a poor enough Donegal team, despite looking like we would do our usual trick of throwing away a big lead. We were lucky to get points against Armagh and Tyrone, only for favourable refereeing decisions both days. we would have got nothing from either of those games. Against Kildare we were so far off the pace it was shocking. Game was over after 5 minutes. McCarthy getting roasted at half back. Being bottom of the table is a fair reflection of where we are at. No guarantee we won't be at the wrong end of div 2 this time next year either."
1 more win and its fist pumping time again serious team serious squad etc but really it papers over the cracks because we have the same conundrum next year playing 36 37 year old lads in div 1 personally i would rather if we lost clear the decks both sides of the white line and go again

Replying To Bernardo:  "Just came across the very interesting article by Cian O'Donnell with Dick Clerkin. Cian writes for the official gaa. Dick states that Jack Is "as good as if not the best footballer he (dick) played with' Where does that leave 2 times All Star conor mcmanus? Tommie freeman? Colin walsh?"
Sounds like you have a problem with mccarron bernado rival club some history maybe he is and will be a good addition to the county side and thats progress after scoring for fun in the league and been hyped in the media he is a marked man and therefore a lot of attention on and off the field others players around him that cant score even against wexford our half forwards in particular hardly ever score the ground will get softer as the year goes on as croke park gets watered regularly

Replying To waynoI:  "that was your all ireland.. just look at the celebrations afterwards. Dublin went on to lift the tin and if they don't, galway will"
ye well when dont have a pick if 1.2 million thats what happens were more like a big club team than a county team some clubs in dublin have the same population as monaghan but we will never look down our nose at another counties progress but dublin are different they are bandwaggeners 3 people on hill 16 before hefferan took over in the 70s 3 people its football this decade soccer the next rugby the next and so on its the only place in ireland you will see a cricket ground but with the country teams its either football or hurling and that will never change for us to get to an all Ireland is probably a bigger achievement than dublin winning 5 in a row
