Dean Rock remains hopeful that Diarmuid Connolly will play a part in Dublin's bid for a Sam Maguire Cup four-in-a-row this summer.

Connolly's inter-county future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks which was further fueled by his absence from St Vincent's Dublin SFC clash with Skerries Harps last week.

Speaking to Newstalk's Off The Ball, Rock said: "Diarmuid is just resting at the moment and obviously it would be great to have him back come the Championship.

"Diarmuid's record speaks for itself and he's such a talented footballer and has performed on the big stage on many occasions."
