Can You See Past Kiltale In The 2019 Championship?

Replying To Meathman678:  "What a game yesterday. Some outstanding performances given the conditions.
Kiltale just always seemed to be doing enough, but Trim did finish with a strong final 10 like they did against Ratoath.
Kiltale will be very hard beaten now, cannot see Kildalkey laying a finger on them.
O Sullivan was superb, and surely is a shoe in for Meath next year if he goes in. Ronan Ryan was calm and composed for a man that has not been hurling.
As for Trim, positives for them are that they were in the game until the end, and they are in group A. A good team mixed with youth and experience. Just not their time just yet."
If kildalkey played like they they did against longwood they will be in with a chance. But will need 2 or 3 goals

kildalkey are coming good at the right time , will be very hungry with most young players having lost a final two years ago, you need to lose one to win one and i think they will give kiltale a serious shock. kiltales hunger and legs were nearly gone yesterday. if the game went on another 2 mins trim would have got a 4th goal

Why are we getting refs from outside the county for huge games?

So Kildalkey v Kiltale Final. I think Kildalkey have every chance this year, quietly coming through group and impressive semi final win, tho Kiltale are very experienced when timing run. Should be a great game whoever wins. Any thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of both teams??

I dont see anything any better of worse from kildalkey this year , tried blood some guys , ended up going back to the old reliable , not sure if deep down the believe they can beat kiltale.
They need kiltale to be off and everything to go right for them, that game again longwood will do them no favours.
Some of kiltales big guns were quiet sunday , others stepped up , came through another tight battle in terrible conditions , how many times have they done that over the years?

i actually dont know how kildalkey keep come back every year and lose to kiltale again and again , in that aspect they deserve respect , but it doesnt mean they will beat them anytime soon.

Final is all about kiltale, if they play well they win , if they dont then they have a battle on.

I know the point you're making, but doesn't every team come back to lose to Kiltale time and again?

@hurlit once again you are attacking the kildalkey club.what actually is your issue with this small rural club.they are like all rural clubs doing their best to promote the game of hurling which is difficult enough without the likes of you sniping on every occasion.its time to cop on.best wishes to both teams in the final even though it looks like they should not bother turning up judging by how bad you think they are.

Don't see any attack on Kildalkey as a club in the post. Opposite if fact, the poster is giving them credit for keep coming back time and again after setbacks.
For myself, I think Kiltale lay down a bit of a marker in the first round when they blew Kildalkey away in twenty minutes. They viewed Kildalkey as a threat and sent them a message. Fair play to Kildalkey for regrouping but what was obvious from that match was a gap in physical strength of the teams and kiltale had a dominance in the air.
I also don't think kiltale had their best 15 on the pitch this year til last weekend. That match will have done wonders for them whereas Kildalkey through no fault of their own haven't had the same test.
For me it is Kiltale by 4+ but I'm hoping for a close match and anything half as good as last Sunday would be great.

I genuinely think if Kildalkey turn up and play with the same conviction and finshing they showed against Longwood they will win. I think Kiltale looked tired in the second half against Trim I know there still very young in most positions but I think Kildalkey have a serious chance. I think Kildalkey have more hunger than Kiltale. Maybe a better kepper too, McGann looked shaky sunday

I'm sorry dickie but that comment is probably the biggest load of BS I've ever seen on this thread.
McGann has been miles ahead in this county for a decade, one mistake doesn't change that!
I'd love to see kildalkey do it but I think last Sunday was the county final!

Wow , you have somehow managed to outdo yourself there with goalkeeper comment.

McGann is the best keeper in the county bar none

Think Kiltale should win this on Sunday if they play to their potential and barring any injuries ,Im sure Kildalkey will be up to their old tricks no doubt

Bad news for kiltale, Ronan Ryan set to miss out through hamstring injury. An injury that has hampered his super 8s career this year.

By the looks off things it doesn't really matter what kildalkey do whether it be win loose or draw someone on this always as a negative comment to say about the club. At the semi final stages it was longwood are a very good team this year that deserve to get to the final but then when kildalkey bet them and we lost to kiltale it was a different story. Yes kiltale are a very good team nobody is denying that but nobody is to know what will happen come Sunday. Also think the chosen referee was very unfair as he is practically neighbours with kiltale definitely think it should of been a neutral ref for both sides but that is just my opinion. Best of luck to both teams in the final.

Kiltale should blow Kildalkey away. Can't see too many players causing Kiltale problems.
