apparently 2 largely 2nd sides our 2 goals were scored by lads that did not play a minute in the league campaign and your own side was very sparse on 1st choices.

Meath started with a full 2nd string side and should be more encouraged with the draw than us as about half of our team will likely start the Connacht opener due to injuries and other starters not match fit to start in a few weeks.

Just read the match report biggie with 5 points and playing full match might show he is back to full fitness. Sounds like good competition for places and should lead to a interesting championship team.

Why was he not at full fitness before this?

Marcus Brennan
Darragh McGovern, Shane Glynn, Mickey Burke,
Gavin McCoy 0-2, Padraic Harnan, Sean Reilly,
Adam Flanagan 0-1, Ethan Devine 0-2,
Owen McDonnell 1-0, Sean Tobin 0-3, Jason Scully,
Graham Reilly 0-5, Danny Quinn, James Conlon 1-1.
Subs: Eoin Lynch, Sean Curran, Robyn Clarke, Ross Ryan.

It was a poor game Rosscommon Dominated most of the game, and found there men every kick out scored at will first half, butchered at least 1 maybe 2 goal chances. having said that a fine save from Marus Brennan on one occasion. Graham Reilly was the best for Meath and even though he missed a few chances he would normally score. He robbed the Roscommon keeper to set up a tap in for Conlon. The game never got going Haran seemed to come it a bit the second half. Sean Tobin played well but was constantly been fouled. Eoin Lynch played well. Adam Flanagan was decent in the second half. Sean Curran did well when when he came on but he was'nt on long enough. Nice to see Ross Ryan play hopefully he is a good as the brother. But he was'nt on for long. Overall poor game Meath very lucky to get anything from the game even though Roscommon got a equaling point. Nobody really stood out or put there hand up for selection.

Apart from Reilly is what I have heard. Which isn't exactly a new find. But there was praise for Conlon. Again only going on reports.
