Is "club month" in this county just reserved for the football and forget about the Hurling? No sign of any hurling in April. Meath county board giving priority to the football once again.

is this entire thread to give out about everything possible even where there is nothing wrong. no hurling club in meath would like to play championship now. the league is on track, and there is hurling at the end of the month.

Nothing wrong? A month so called dedicated to clubs when Hurling clubs can't even get a challenge game in cause there is so much football on. I know there is championship on in June which is perfectly fine but why not get a league game or 2 in when teams can play there county lads. start the Brendan Davis or will the county board just make a mockery of that competition again. Or as someone else said reserve the bank holiday weekends for Hurling...already played on paddy's day so why not it's only the hurlers.

It will be hushed up as usual wit no punishment. If it happened on the street it would be different story. There is no place for individuals who would resort to that type of behavior in front of children.

This type of behavior is a poor reflection on the association and in particular Meath hurling.

An incident happened in a league game in Down last year and both clubs (Ballyholland and Downpatrick) were not allowed to participate in the upcoming championship as well as a lot of individual suspensions, some of which were up to 96 weeks.

Meath CCC needs to issue a statement and take action.

Ratoath v Kildalkey > Classic Kildalkey will get there own way as usual game abandoned and nothing will be done about the disgraceful carry on that occurred.

Kilmessan v Kiltale > Kilmessan seem to be on the downward curve. Bringing war veterans out of the retirement home to fulfill league fixtures what does this say about their youth. Although they ran kiltale close, what kiltale have to come back in to the team is far superior to what kilmessan will.

Trim v Longwood > The Townies v The Villagers was always going to be one way traffic with the longwood missing their county contingent. Would not right the villagers off yet but could see it hard for them to do well in Senior A. Trim look to be sh*t hot with a lot of youth coming through can they push on remains the big question

Killyon v Dunboyne > Killyon win. Dunboyne look to be on a steep slippery slope to Senior B and without Quigley i would fear for them to win a game at all in championship this year. Killyon remain with that never die attitude and with the right mix of that and skill they will continue to be a team feared by all come championsip.

Hopefully the truth will come out about the shamosal at Ratoath/Kildalkey game
Definitely two sides involved in the verbals but only one side with the physical aggression
It was actually unbelievable, and referee was totally right in abandoning the game
I don't know what the outcome will be but should not be equal punishment

Was there sendings off at the Kildalkey game? Or did it just escalate in one flash point?

I'll wager €20 that this will be brushed under the carpet, no suspensions will result, and the game will be quietly refixed for some other date.

I cant imagine a situation where only 1 side was physical in a row.
How do you have a row without 2 participants?
Just curious

Like I said both sides involved in the hargy bargy
one side was always trying to make it a fist fight and been held back
Then at one stage got a free run and landed a sucker punch
Really unbelievable stuff
And lots of people seen it so this one can't just go away
Not sure if ref seen it

This gets even more bizarre, people unsure if the referee seen alleged punches yet he abandons the game, doesn't add up. Might be wize to wait for the referee's report.
