Replying To gardentree:  "Hurlit you are correct. The GAA wants Antrim as high up in the divisions as they can get them."
if it was meath lost again antrim the first day in christy ring final , there would never have been a replay.
anyway this is not antrims fault and they have great history and tradition so i would never begrudge them.

anyway , hopefully get a win against london and stay up now

A must win for Nick and the team on Sunday. London must be beaten. If we beat them we stay up that's all that matters in the league this year. Best of luck to the lads, come out in you droves to support the team on Sunday

London beaten alright but again we didn't finish well. And it was not all down to the wind. Started to make substitutions too soon I think and the rhythm seemed to vanish. I think we should throw caution to the wind next day v Westmeath. Put Damien Healy at fullback, Daragh Kelly centre half and go man on man and take a chance on it.

Good win for Meath. Div 2A status is now safe.
We can focus on the Christy Ring now which is a must win to get back to Joe McDonagh level.

I assume Brennan and Quigley are added to the Hurlers ever growing injury list. Hear Brennan broke his hand and Quigley has knee trouble.

Can not wait for today's match, if we play for the full 70 minutes we can beat Westmeath. Apart from last year in the JMDC their is very little between the teams. A win today would be great

Gardentree. I foresee a skinning today and to be honest there has been no advancement under fitzgerald. I actually think we've gone backways. Separately is there any reason no one from the trainers club isn't in with the county.

Who is the trainer and what club is he from? I thought the trainer is from Westmeath.

Excellent display considering so many injuries and we who are hoping for a Christy ring win against a county who has ambitions of winning joe mcdonagh

Sorry about that, I am quiet happy with the team's physical condition, away better than last year. Kildalkey players missing? Their best players with the exception of perhaps Paddy Connelly are still Sean Heavy and Podger Geoghegan, both 30 ++ so hardly for the future, the managers own son and young Potterton are still a bit young. So apart from P Conneely were any of the rest going to make a huge improvement to the team as starters? I have to be convinced that they would, so I can't see a major conspiracy.

We all know that injuries are part of sport but I think the Hurlers are suffering badly at present but on the flip side hopefully they will have all or most back for the Ring. I know the list has Brennan Quigley Keena Geraghty McCabe Lynch from last year's panel not so sure about some of the newcomers of who is injured. Haven't heard any mention of O Sullivan or McGowan and with Forde gone travelling it's a fair list of players not available. But as I said hopefully they will get most back in the weeks ahead. Douglas was a loss on Sunday and could have been the difference in the result. Ring won't be no easy comp. London at home then away to Kildare and Roscommon with Derry Down and Wicklow on the other side. Getting to a semi final in 1st place in the group is important I reckon. 1 play 2 from other group and with Wicklow beating Kildare the weekend who knows what's what. As for kildalkey someone nailed it. They have 1 player maybe good enough but he's fitness is questionable.

How do they go from drawing with mayo to giving westmeath a right with only 14 men for 3/4 of the game ?

They could very easily be battle for promotion if they got win again mayo and draw again antrim and had full 15 again westmeath.
Fine margins

Hopefully the injuries clear up , still very good first 15 to line out when you see the missing list.

The Douglas sending off was terrible no way should he have been sent off. The ref gave us nothing even the westmeat lads beside me were laughing at some of his decisions. This was a match we should have won we were good enough with the players we had von the field. Lets finish off with a win next sunday and good prep for the CRC.

I would have to agree there, last time was probably in the Christy Ring final and he got caught out, it seems like we are being punished since.

Kerry game important on sunday , not for league but for ;ads to go out of the league with a win . Good preparation for the championship in May.
Will players go back to clubs to prepare for the football championship or will Nick keep them to get ready for that championship.

The skinning I predicted last week occurred this week. Things not good in the camp. A poor league with a number of withdrawals. Nothing looking good for championship.
