Replying To ASaminthehand:  "Tickets are still for sale on the GAA web site. The only problem is it seems that all the family tickets are gone. I bought 3 tickets yesterday - €45 each. A couple of lads from the club involved with the Minors so want to support them!"
Ahh feck. Ahh well I'll see how the funds are when we get back. Thanks for that

Cheers for that pal. But it'd be 2 adult and 4 juvenile I would need, thanks for offer though. Much appreciated.

100% I will want Meath to win , just as I was delighted with Kildares win in under 20 s , anyone I've spoken to wants Meath to do the business , whisper it but we want a challenge in Leinster too , a strong Meath and Kildare makes for a decent championship and that starts with under age talent , don't expect to many Dubs to cheer it will be a reserved support you will get , apart from the odd drunk arriving ten mins before the end

Conor Harford named to start after missing the last game with injury. Big addition if he does play, have a feeling he won't end up playing though

Best of luck to our minor team today, they've done us proud over the summer and hopefully they can continue their run.

Good luck to the team and management today.

It would be great for the county to be in an All Ireland final

Hard luck to the minors, they done us proud all summer, things didn't work out today but look that's life. They restored a bit of pride to the county though and I commend them for that, all the best going forward.

Just back from Croker - hard luck to the lads - no doubting the effort - Galway just proved a bit sharper and stronger in depth! Hope we can build on last year's 17s and this year's 17s success

Disappointing defeat today but this group has restored a lot of pride within the county. We lost our way around the middle in the second half and struggled afterwards. From what I have seen of this bunch there is loads of potential county senior footballers in the squad, today is only a stepping stone for years to come and while success would have been great its the development of players that is more important.

I would be optimistic that for the first time in years football in Meath is moving in the right direction and there is now a steady conveyor belt of talent coming through from the ages of 20 to 14. What we need to do now is to ensure that there is a structured pathway for all these young men to go on and play at a higher level for Meath. 17 to 20 is a critical age bracket and hopefully the county board will put suitable provisions in place to keep as many of these lads continue to developing physically and playing the sport.

Put the best players from this years U-20 and 17 teams together along with last years U-17's and there is a lot to be hopeful about despite today's result.

Well done to these young lads, gave us a plenty of entertainment over last few months, hopefully will stick with it and give us even better days in the future.

Very disappointed today. 2 goals put a gloss on a bad 1st half performance, spurned the chance to go 6 clear & then just fell apart. No answers either on the pitch or on the line, Galway were that little bit more streetwise than we were, knew when to foul & who to stop. We had 15 fantastic players but we didnt really have a TEAM. Didnt get to Derry match but was very concerned after Leinster final that a well managed team would beat us. Questions need to be asked. Wouldnt blame any of the players, they all did their best. Hopefully we'll learn from this & move onwards & upwards. AN MHI ABU

Disappointing result.

Our forwards were quite efficient but we failed to get good possession in the middle third of the pitch and the Galway's greater possession eventually told a tale.

However, lets take a positive in the little green shoots. We have now won two Leinster under 17 championships in a row. I know they were not both minor championships per se but the last time we won two Leinster minor chamionships in a row was 1992 and 1993......

Well done to all lads for a great year their and credit to the whole county. Unfortunately just seemed run out of steam towards the end. Tactically i think maybe the management got it wrong. We were quite naive and open and possibly the decision to start Hartford after his injury backfired as he didn't look match fit. But all in all a really positive year and the players and management should be really proud of themselves

Disappointing result especially considering we were 5 points up but it isn't time to dwell on that yet. This group have done exceptionally well. Any Meath team that beat Dublin, Kildare and win a Leinster are one we can be proud of. Lots of potential seniors if they stick at it. Our forwards loved the space of Croke Park and hopefully, they make their mark there in years to come. We have to translate this talent. Anything from the under 20's bar a Leinster title would have to be considered a failure I think. Need the right management team it is a really important team for getting us back competing at senior
