Originally from Gleann Fan, Ceann Tra, Co Chiarrai, John was eight years of age when his family moved to Teltown in 1938. He stayed loyal to the Kingdom and, up until recent years, was an ever present at Kerry games in Croke Park. He flew the Kerry flag with pride from his Teltown house.
