Bernard Flynn v James Horan - 7 Like(s)
I have never seen anything like this before in Irish sport, to see certain individuals and a team persued and attacked with such venom is quite disturbing, certain people in online and written media seem to have made it their mission to bring this team down. It seem's everything now is measured by how many celtic crosses any 1 individual has. Some people seem to think you're not allowed to comment on anything or endorse anything unless you've won an All Ireland. If that's the case then Ciaran Whelan or Dessie Dolan should'nt be on the sunday game or some of the best player's to ever play the game from weaker counties like Mattie Forde or Declan Browne or Johnie Doyle should never be allowed to comment on or endorse anything. and to see the coverage on tv and the likes of the panel sitting there bursting themselves laughing at team's (usually the weaker team's) i remember watching the connacht final last year and Roscommon being laughed at. You would never see this from soccer or rugby pundit's, belittleing teams and individual's. Instead of looking at each game and taking that 1 game by itself the pundit's trot out the same old lines game after game after game. It's quite sickening to see certain media outlet's go down this road. In soccer, rugby, hurling, football i have never seen people persued like this before

Meath v Sligo - 6 Like(s)
Replying To royaldunne: "I am a huge fan of Andy McEntee, a top manager, but that warm up was a serious error in that unbelievable heat.
Would we have won? No. Would we have been a hell lot better ? Yes.
But mistakes happen. Andy has and will continue to have my 100% support.
We will win this game, bit it is next one that will define andys first year." And off you go again disrespecting another team rd, just totally dismissing Sligo. Constantly telling us over the last few month's how you's were better than Galway and Kildare and the last couple of year's how you's were so much better than Cavan and Roscommon too yet all of these team's have been promoted ahead of Meath over the last couple of year's. And then you wonder why people on here let rip at you after you're beaten, a little bit of humility from you would go a long way

Bernard Flynn v James Horan - 5 Like(s)
This is bordering on crazy at this stage and most people dont even seem to know the full story. In said challenge game there was actually 2 games of 45mins each, O Shea played the first game in full and done his proper warm down with the team afterward's, he came on with a few minutes remaining in the second game for a "run around" and it was after this game that the kid's came to him for autograph's. This makes Flynn's comment's even more ridiculous and Horan is dead right

what a lot of you don't seem to realise is the amount of mayo people living and working outside of mayo is huge. i myself live outside the county. the first week after mayo got through to the final i called and text everyone i knew that's involved in the gaa here where im living and all of my family member's did the same, we got 12 ticket's from outside of the county and 2 within the county. now that's just 1 family. do you's realise the amount of people that have brother's, sister's, uncle's, aunt's, friend's, colleagues living in every county all over the country. i can guarantee you everyone of them were contacted in the day's following mayo's semi, that is the reason why so many mayo people were there, plain and simple

Mayo V Donegal and the league in general 2017 - 2 Like(s)
Just seen footage there posted on the Mayo Gaa blog page, Murphy was giving some big hits in the last 20 minutes, it was him elbowing Diarmuid O Connor out over the sideline that got the Mayo player's and fan's so angry. Aiden followed him up the sideline and got at least 2 raps for his trouble's and got another puk off a Donegal player too and who was the first man to get called over for a yellow, yes it was Aiden, oh and he took that kick in the crown jewel's which is why he went down so easily.

B Flynn's comments on A O'Shea - 1 Like(s)
Replying To royaldunne: "You do realise Bernard has zero links to Meath anymore? He lives works owns businesses coaches club all in Westmeath, add to that all of his children wear Westmeath jerseys and support Westmeath along with Bernard and his wife. Just thought id throw that in their, as your comment was nonsense and based on 1980s and nothing to do with present day." royaldunne Bernard Flynn actually helped organise the match, he say's so in the article on the homepage. Re his comment's i think they were totally over the top. Win loose or draw i've alway's noticed how long the lad's spend on the field after game's singing autograph's and taking photograph's with kid's, it's lovely to see

Kerry v Mayo - 1 Like(s)
if anyone was taking notice of the kerry warm up Donaghy was on the edge of the square at different stages and there was high ball after high ball being pumped in on top of him so to say Kerry werent going to use that tactic because of the wet conditions is a little wide of the mark i think, when Keith played the ball out to Aiden and Aiden misjudged the bounce and it went out over the sideline Aiden was out of position and the first thing that was done was to launch a ball in on top of Donaghy, S O'Shea broke it away from him but only knocked it down to Moran and we know what happened after that. So while Aiden couldnt compete with Donaghy on the ground, who knows what sort of damage would have been done to us if someone else was marking him and our full back line was being bombarded with high balls

Who'd have thought it? - 1 Like(s)
Replying To jimbodub: "Fact is Mayo have spent millions and won nothing since Horan really upped their approach from 2011 onwards
Mayo GAA were bailed out by the GAA, saving themselves millions
Yet are still spending big even over Dublin now, bailed out by the association allowing themselves the opportunity to spend big
If they can afford to spend such sizeable figures on one team!
Why can't they afford to pay off their ridiculously bloated white elephant?
Why is this point not a bigger deal?
I mean if it's about fairness, how come this is not a bigger issue?
It's not just about spending big though
That's why Dublin has 8 National titles to Mayo's Zero National titles in the same time frame
You can have all the fancy gear, you can have the best of this and that, but it's worthless without the quality
You can coach a donkey to be a race horse" less of the insult's there please jimbo. whatever money Mayo spend on our team's ( and we do have other team's, our u21 footballer's won the all Ireland this year and our u21 hurler's were involved too, 62% of the overall money was spent on the senior team) is raised off our own bat, apart from the few quid we get from the gaa. as regard's the money we got off the gaa for MacHale park, the loan was restructured, every penny of that money still has to be repaid to the gaa. how many people and business's up and down the country have got mortgage's's and loan's restructured over the last number of year's so it's no different for Mayo gaa. And as regard's it being a white elephant, it's the only stand in the country that's full for every league game Mayo play there, per head of capita we are the best supported team in the country for the past 20 year's, we're not spending tax payer's money on our team's, it's money that's raised mostly from within the county and i have absolutely no problem with that.

Meath v Sligo - 1 Like(s)
Replying To Royal.Legend: "That's what supporters do they believe in there team when no neutrals do supporters can be very naive, just like mayo supporters they convince themselves every year that this year they'll win Sam when everyone else knows they won't, it's totally natural there's nothing wrong with Meath fans thinking they'll beat Sligo, as I'm sure there's Sligo fans thinking they'll beat meath, it's not being disrespectful are we supposed to keep our opinions to ourselves" there's a big difference between being optimistic about your team's chance's and totally disrespecting the other team by saying "we'll win this one but it's the next game that will define Andy's first year"of course we all like to think we can win the next game but i would never just dismiss the opposition out of hand

Replying To KingdomBoy1: "That's Seamus O'Shea in the allireland semifinal replay in 2015 and Aidan o'mahony in the league final 2016 and now Brendan Murphy last night like I say the list is growing for Jonny cooper." I'm no lover of Jonny Cooper but whatever he did or said to Seamus O Shea makes no difference, it's up to O Shea to keep his head and not let his team mates down by getting black carded.

Meath v Sligo - 1 Like(s)
Replying To MedwayIrish: "People seem to throw this "disrespectful" tag about like confetti. What's disrespectful about having the confidence to predict his county will win? If he's said there's no point Sligo turning up or something along those lines then fair enough but don't slag the man for having an opinion." Of course we all have opinion's, it's just that his opinion seem's to constantly run down every other team, especially all the team's that have been promoted ahead of them the last couple of year's
