As it happened: Sunday Match Tracker

June 17, 2018

Roscommon's Niall McInerney with Damien Comer of Galway

It was D-Day in the Munster SHC and the Connacht SFC.

The enthralling Munster SHC round robin phase drew to a close today as we learned who would contest this year's provincial final.

Three teams, Limerick, Clare and Cork were vying for the two positions and if the games that have been played already were anything to go by, then we were set for two cracking encounters this afternoon.

In Connacht, Galway were very keen to make amends for their humiliating defeat to Roscommon in last year's final.

However, if they were to gain revenge, they would have to do so in the Rossies' own backyard, which added to the occasion this afternoon.

This may have been one of our quietest Sundays, action wise, but the three games kept GAA supporters intrigued throughout.
