Gerard Jeffers of Craughwell, Galway and formerly of Dundalk passed away on Friday, May 30th, 2014. Although he was still a young man when leaving Dundalk, Gerard has already made quite a mark in gaelic football. He represented Marian Park in Cumann Peil na nOg and went on to play for Clan na Gael, winning a junior championship medal. His career as a chef took him to Galway at the age of 17 and he would spend most of the rest of his life there, as well as a five-year stint in Boston.
