The late Johnny McEvoy, Vincent Avenue, gave 53 years of service to The Dundalk Democrat newspaper from 1948 until 2001. Johnny played soccer and was proud of the fact that his father lined out for Geraldines GFC in the 1920s. Johnny passed away on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012, aged 81.
