Team news: Walsh back for Cats

February 15, 2019

Kilkenny's Walter Walsh shakes hands with Dublin keeper Gary Maguire.

Kilkenny boss Brian Cody has made a raft of positional and personnel changes for Sunday’s Division 1A meeting with Limerick at Nowlan Park.

Walter Walsh returns to the Cats line-up for his first start of the campaign after shaking off an ankle injury, while Conor Delaney is named at full-back in place of the injured Hu Lawlor.

Padraig Walsh also comes in to the side from the Round 2 defeat to Clare at right half-back, with Tommy Walsh, Enda Morrissey and Paul Murphy all finding themselves in new defensive posts from the last day.

Richie Leahy and James Maher will flank Walsh in the half-forward line as top-scorer Kevin Kelly leads the attack from full-forward.

Throw-in is at 2pm.
