Duo in contest to replace Mann

December 08, 2017

Limerick chairman Oliver Mann.

There will be a new Limerick GAA chairman appointed, but the identity of the man to replace Oliver Mann won't be known until the convention on Sunday, December 17th.

Mann has to step down due to the five-year rule and Dromcollogher-Broadford's John Cregan and Claughaun's Liam O'Sullivan are going head to head to replace him.

Both are current outgoing officers on the county board as football chairman and county board vice-chairman respectively, but regardless of the outcome of the chairman's contest, they have announced they will be leaving these positions.

There will also be a contest for the position of assistant secretary as out-going PRO Eamonn Phelan and Alan Kehoe are nominated for the position.
