Donie Smith was on fire for his club in the Roscommon SFC last evening.

The county star scored a whopping 1-15 for Boyle in a sensational 2-26 to 1-8 victory over holders Clann na nGael in the second round of the championship. His huge haul has left local GAA statisticians asking themselves if it is a Roscommon SFC record.

Elsewhere, Castlerea defeated Eire Og by 3-17 to 0-14, Roscommon Gaels were 0-17 to 2-7 winners over St Faithleach's, while Padraig Pearses - who accounted for Boyle in the first round - beat Western Gaels on a 1-10 to 0-10 scoreline.
