Dublin won't be knocked off their perch in Leinster any time soon, according to Ciaran Lyng.

The Wexford star joined Conor McManus, Mickey Burke and Eamonn Callaghan as a guest on The Saturday Panel on Off the Ball yesterday and he outlined the enormity of the challenge that faces the pretenders to the Dubs' provincial crown.

"It's nigh-on impossible [to beat them], I think the lads (Meath) beat them in 2010, 2011 and that was the last time they were beaten in Leinster I think in 15 years. That was the freak, that was the one and the lads went on to win Leinster.

"So, from that perspective, I don't think anyone's saying they're destroying it - all they're doing is playing a good brand of football that nobody can really compete with.

"I've heard the conversations about splitting Dublin - just because they've got their ducks in a row and playing fantastic football - the conversation isn't that they're destroying it - they're just taking it to the next level."
