Limerick have received a boost ahead of their All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Kilkenny as defender Richie McCarthy has returned to full training according to the Limerick Leader.

McCarthy has been out of action since damaging his cruciate ligament a few weeks after last year’s All-Ireland SHC final win over Galway.

However, McCarthy is back in training now and is available for selection for the clash against the Cats.

Limerick had a training camp in Johnstown House, Enfield last weekend where McCarthy took full part in all activities.

The return of McCarthy to the squad means that Barry Murphy is the only member of the squad unavailable for Saturday week’s semi-final.
