The International Rules Series will not be back this year after the GAA and AFL both agreed to postpone two tests on November 15 and 21.

A decision was made due to the Covid-19 outbreak and throws the future of the series between Ireland and Australia into doubt once again.

Ireland were set to host Australia for the first time since 2015 with a return two test series scheduled to be played Down Under in 2022.

The last series took place in Australia in 2017 when the hosts reclaimed the Cormac McAnallen Cup.
