A Mayo GAA club could be headed for the DRA (Disputes Resolution Authority) after the CAC (Central Appeals Committee) ruled that they broke GAA rules by playing a suspended player.

According to the Western People, Swinford GAA are considering their options after the CAC ruled that they fielded an illegible player against Bonniconlon in their final Division 1C league game. 

Swinford won the match, but the Mayo county board subsequently overturned the result, leading to Swinford lodging an appeal with the Connacht Council. The appeal was successful, but Bonniconlon then decided to take their case to the CAC in Croke Park, which saw the result overturned again.

If the CAC ruling stands, Bonniconlon would avoid relegation while Swinford would make the drop.
