Dublin's Paul Mannion gets his jersey pulled by Mayo's Eoin O'Donoghue

There were four games in Round Four of the national football league tonight, including the meeting of Mayo and Dublin at Castlebar.

The All-Ireland champions carried a 100% record into the fourth round but they were in for a searching examination at MacHale Park, in an eagerly-awaited repeat of last year's Sam Maguire Cup decider.

Also in the top flight, Ulster champions Tyrone were bidding to improve their survival prospects with victory over neighbours Monaghan at Castleblayney.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Meath knew that anything less than victory over Tipperary at Thurles would scupper their promotion prospects for another year. The Premier County were also in need of a win.

And Fermanagh put their perfect record on the line against Derry in another all-Ulster affair at Enniskillen.
