New Fermanagh manager Joe Baldwin.

Fermanagh GAA have handed the senior hurling manager’s job to Joe Baldwin.

The Waterford native has an impressive CV in coaching and he is based in Armagh where he works.

Baldwin has worked with hurling and camogie teams across Ulster, while he has also worked as a sports coach in Queen’s.

Speaking to the Fermanagh Herald, Baldwin is well aware of the small panel of players that he will be working with.

“I’m acutely aware that there is a relatively small pool of players to work with, but that doesn’t deter me and it’s not a stick to beat ourselves with, in fact, it can be a galvanising factor. This is a challenge which I’m more than ready to pick up,” said Baldwin.

The new manager has already met with his squad and preparations have begun for the new year which begins with the Conor McGurk Cup.
