Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy is delighted to have John McGrath back in the fold to ease their injury crisis somewhat.

McGrath got valuable minutes in the last league clash against Limerick and has two weeks training under his belt since then.

Sheedy has a number of injury concerns at the moment as Cathal Barrett, John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer, Dan McCormack and Barry Heffernan all look set to miss out on this weekend’s clash against Wexford.

So the return of McGrath is a timely boost, although Sheedy did admit to the Midland Tribune that the Loughmore-Castleiney forward was not up to full fitness yet.

“They are dropping like flies on me and we have to get them into the recovery room. We are going to have a tough few weeks and our panel is going to be tested but we go to Wexford in two weeks’ time and we will recover for the week and go again.” said Sheedy.

“He (McGrath) doesn’t have a whole lot done we just said we could fire him in on the edge of the square to give him a little taste of it.”
