Former Sligo footballer Ross Donovan cycled a go-kart around a 10k route near his home with 6-year-old son Michael on the back to raise funds for two local charities last Saturday.
The 2007 All-Star nominee decided to leave the bike in the shed and brought the young lad's go-kart for the gruelling spin instead.
Ross and Michael undertook the challenge as part of their club Eastern Harps' fundraiser in aid of Ballymote Nursing Home and CLASP (Community of Lough Arrow Social Project).
The fundraising challenge which involved the Eastern Harps senior team and management has generated over €10,000 in donations - double what they had hoped.
Donations are still being accepted on the club's GoFundMe page - https://ie.gofundme.com/f/wqdfgr-clasp
