Bradley blow for Red Hands

Tyrone forward Mark Bradley is facing up to six weeks on the side-lines as a result of the ankle injury he picked up in last Sunday's Ulster SFC quarter-final defeat to Monaghan.

Results from the Killyclogher man's MRI scan on Monday revealed that he sustained damage to the medial and lateral ligaments in one of his ankles.

"I went to make a tackle on Monaghan defender inside the opening 10 minutes and I knew right away that something was wrong," Bradley told The Irish News.

"When I got up I went to put weight on my foot but it sort of gave way and I had to go to ground again. I then tried to play on but couldn't run and when our physio came on to look at it he immediately told me to come off.

"It was a devastating blow for me because we had started the game so well and I thought that we were going places but unfortunately it went downhill for me and the team after that."

Fellow attacker Lee Brennan is also a concern for the Red Hands' Round 1 qualifier on June 9th after being forced off with a hamstring problem against the Farney men.
