Kilkenny boss Brian Cody was handed a double blow last night with the news that Paul Murphy and Colin Fennelly could miss most of this summer's Round Robin series in the Leinster SHC.

The ex-All Star defender Murphy and experienced forward Fennelly are currently on a peace-keeping mission in South Lebanon and the Irish Independent reports today that they are not due home until May, potentially in the middle of the month.

It means the pair look likely to miss the Cats' first two provincial championship outings against Dublin on May 13th and Offaly seven days later.

The Leinster kingpins are down to face All-Ireland champions Galway on May 27th, which could be the occasion for both players to make their return.
