Corkery took the tram to beat AFL training

Colin Corkery told a great story about the lengths he went to avoid the hard pre-season training during his time playing Australian Rules Football.
Speaking with Tomás Ó Sé in part of the Podcast / Livestream ‘Comhrá Le Tomás’, Corkery told the tale of how he jumped on a tram during a 10km run.
“The preseason was horrendous, they used to do a run, 10km like,” explained Corkery. “They used to have trams there in Melbourne and the trams would come up to Princes Park where we were.
“I was always last. I was miles behind everybody but I used to get an old weekly ticket on the tram, and I used to catch up on the tram. True story!”
