Kilkenny couldn’t get to grips with the Ballyea clubman who hit them for seven points in Nowlan Park.

10. Jason Forde (Tipperary)

The Silvermines player accumulated a personal tally of 0-14 against the Lake County.

11. Jamie Barron (Waterford)

The former All-Star midfielder was full of industry in Waterford’s Group A victory over the Tribesmen.

12. Rory O’Connor (Wexford)

The talented O’Connor found the target with 0-4 (three from play) as Davy Fitzgerald’s side timed its run to perfection.

13. Ross King (Laois)

King accounted for all bar three of their 15 points winning tally in their make-or-break clash with neighbours Carlow.

14. Shane O’Donnell (Clare)

O’Donnell came in for special praise from manager Brian Lohan after his 2-1 exploits against the Cats.

15. Aaron Gillane (Limerick)

Gillane led the scoring charge for John Kiely’s side with 0-13 (11 frees) against the Rebel County.
