Donegal legend Brian McEniff warns that talk of Declan Bonner’s team being best placed to throw a spanner in Dublin's well-oiled works is “premature”.

With the likes of Kerry, Mayo, Galway and Tyrone not setting the gaelic football world alight, the Tir Chonaill side has emerged from the chasing pack on the back of their second Anglo Celt Cup triumph in-a-row but the breakthrough 1992 All-Ireland winning manager sounded a note of caution when speaking to the Irish News...

“It’s a wee bit premature," the Bundoran native warned.

“We’ll take the games as they come and the worst thing you can do is get ahead of yourself.

“Congratulations to Declan and the management and players, it was a great day.”
