GAA seek meeting with organisers of Liam Miller tribute match

The GAA's president John Horan and director general Tom Ryan are seeking a meeting with organisers of the Liam Miller tribute match.
It comes following some stinging criticism for the association after it emerged this week that Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh had been requested by organisers of the match in aid of the late Republic of Ireland midfielder's family.
Cork county are bound by the rules of the GAA which meant they can not make the stadium available for a one off soccer game and, as a result, the association has come under plenty of fire from all sides this week.
This afternoon the GAA tweeted the following to confirm that are now seeking a meeting with organisers of the event:
"The GAA President and Ard Stiúrthóir, along with representatives of the Cork Committee, are to seek a meeting with the organising committee of the Liam Miller Tribute Match to discuss issues around the game."
As it stands, the match is set to go ahead at Turner's Cross on September 25th.
