The Clare County Board have decided not to play any championship games during the month of April.

Under the new GAA format, the month of April has been left clear for club fixtures and many counties are looking at having the opening rounds of their championships during that period.

However at a fixtures structure meeting of the Clare County Board, it was agreed that the county championships would not start until the Munster series was complete.

A number of proposals were put forward for discussion, but the Sixmilebridge motion was backed by the majority of clubs present at the meeting.
