Cavan Club Championship 2019

Castlerahan have a good defence though. David Wright is suppose to be out which would be a loss at midfield.. Mickey Graham will have to try and get Ado Cole back on the panel. Excellent in club championship.

Replying To kanu:  "Might be an upset on the cards on Sunday. Ramor might have a bit more firepower-Cole, Brady, Bradley and Cadden. Castlerahan not running up big scores and are reliant on O'Connell and Enda Flanagan"
They scored 2 14 versus Killygarry. Ramor better forwards, Castlerahan better backs. Castlerahan have threats from all over pitch including corner backs. David Wright a big loss tips midfield to Ramor. Draw.

Ado Cole has proved he is consistently one of the best club full forwards in Cavan over past 7-8 years absolutely but not cut out for county football. Plus he is 31/32 now.

Need to move forward with Conor Smith, Caoimhin, Conor Madden, Pierson

He only had 1 year under McGleenan a few years ago and showed glimses of potential. McGleenan was a poor manager ,so was hard for any forward to impress. He's 30, so not past it.. But he might not be interested anyway.

If he's 30 how come the Manager before McGlennon didn't play him?

He was working in England for a while. And the demands of County football too much

It's been a very poor championship so far with almost no quality games, hopefully Sunday's final is exciting at least.

I see most of the media are tipping Castlerahan. I think Ramor are playing well and could cause an upset.Ramor by 2 points.

Ramor have had a tougher route to the final, Castlerahan usually gets a favorable run to the final and that's no different this year, very hard to call tomorrow , i'll say draw

Great achievement by Castlerahan winning 2 Senior Football Titles in a row.
Goes some way to make up for them losing the previous 3.

Castlerahan dictated play from the start and Ramor never really got to put their stamp on the game. Ramor couldn't take their scores and had chances right up to the end.Caslerahan were physically stronger and with their greater experience they did enough to win , Cian Mackey showed that he still has the footballing ability to make a difference .

Ramor blew their chance by the amount of wides they kicked (13 v 4 for Castlerahan). They didn't score for the last 26 minutes of the game - criminal. In 6 minutes of injury time alone they had a 20 metre free and two 45's with no return from them. In my opinion they played the better football (similar to Crosserlough last year) but Castlerahan's efficiency and know-how got them over the line. You could even mark up their win as they were missing a few key players. It wasnt a great game but Cormac Daly done well and deserved MOTM. James Brady kicked some good scores with the exception of the bad 20 metre free at the end. I cant see Castlerahan going far in Ulster but they wont care as they've now done back to back championships having never won one before.

I think they would care. Keoghan was annoyed last year that they didn't give full concentration to Ulster after winning Cavan. It was probaly understandable for the players after losing 3 finals.

This year they would probaly be more focused and can attend the Donegal final next weekend. Gweedore were very impressive last year winning Ulster.

Listening to keoghan on the we are cavan podcast last night they very much will care about ulster . Last year they went on the beer for a week but last night he was saying they will enjoy the night and today and then turn their attention to ulster . I think it's the perfect draw for an upset. Gweedore have just been getting over the line in games this year. They dont blow teams anyway . So bring them to brefni and see what happens.

If anybody from Gweedore or Naoimh Conail was present in breffni park yesterday they would have been licking their lips.

That was as poor a final as I have witnessed. Two teams who played with a fear of losing rather than going to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

There was no atmosphere after the national anthem was over.

I feel another year will pass without any Ulster glory for Cavan Champions.

I think Castlerahan tried to go for it but Ramor lot of bodies back. At one stage Ado Cole was only outfield player in Castlerahan half and the goalkeeper was marking him so Castlerahan took risks. Mackey was my motm. Class in all he did.
