This thing of playing championship games in Crosskeys has been the one downfall of the clubs hosting games.

I am all for playing games at club venues but only those that are fit for purpose.

No stand, terrible parking facilities and terrible player facilities. The dressing rooms/shed is a bit of a walk to the main field.

Easy knowing the County treasurer is a Denn man. I suggest he put some money into a Stand and a new shed beside the playing field.

Do you really think it's because the treasurer is a Denn man????

He has nothing to do with fixtures so the finger is being pointed in the wrong direction.

According to a few sources they say that lavey and ramor are to small to host big games . Ramor have a massive car park and top field for parking and excellent stand , lavey have a good carpark and also the use of the piggery across the road . These two venues would be much better than crosskeys . Killygarry also a better venue .

Yes I do Sean. Having somebody from your club in that role is sure to influence decisions like this. Wake up.

He may have nothing to do with fixtures but he works alongside those who do.

I thought you would know this seen as you seem to know everYthing thats going on within Cavan GAA.

Yet you are not a proud enough club man to say what club you are a member of?

My guess is that you wont name a club as you know that somebody who is a member of the club you name will know that you are not a member.

He isn't a member of any club and we all know that. The county needed to relay a new pitch because it wasn't been looked after properly

Why may I ask is it important that I reveal my club to you or anyone. I don't see any other person on here being asked to reveal their club. If you really want to know and it if it's not confidential ask the County secretary he knows every club that paid up members are of clubs in the county of Cavan. Otherwise stop bothering your head about my club.
Regarding venues for games I would have thought that the better the venue would encourage supporters and create more revenue common sense don't you think.
Regards knowing everything thats going on within the county thank god I don't and to be honest for me it's a blessing that I don't.

Crosskeys terrible venue for anything at the minute.
It is funny that they have got a championship game every week.

Lads I was driving up from New Inn to Mountain Lodge the other evening and was surprised to see so many green and yellow flags all along that road. Does Kilinkere go in that far? Would there be much of a rivalry between the two clubs?
In fact, is part of Lavey pitch actually in Killinkere?

Killinkere goes from enagh house on the bailabourgh virginia road right down to assen bridge beside lavey football pitch . It is a massive parish full of good men .

Cavanlawd....... Killinkere actually stretches from Smiths pub in Relaghbeg on the Meath border to Assan Bridge on the Lavey side and Clifferna on the Laragh side..... Lurgan on the Lisgrey side, Knockbride and Baileboro on the Drumanispic side.
If you stood at the New Inns , you could throw a stone into 5 Parishes..... Lurgan, Castlerahan, Denn, Killinkere and Lavey ! That's if you wanted to throw stones of course !!

Yes I believe Drumlane is one of the biggest parishes in the county with regards area. Definitely in the top 3.

I was quite clearly talking about the Senior Semi Finals as that was the topic of conversation, id hardly be talking about the junior and intermediate semi finals when they were over! Wake up & smell the coffee!
Scandalous decision to have the semi finals the weekend in Kingscourt.

Castlerahan may hope they win the title this year as i cant see them being in the final next year after Keogan leaves them.

You message was posted a week ago it said "all the semi finals of the championship and the minor Div One final all in Kingscourt"
The Intermediate Semi Finals were held on Saturday last in Crosskeys and Lacken and Minor Division 1 Final was held on Saturday last in Killeshandra

Yes, I believe in that situation they'll have both captains play a best of 3 game of rock, scissors and paper.

Does anyone know if breffni is 100% ready for the intermediate and senior finals? Haven't heard anything about it in a while, intermediate is Sunday week.
