Antrim native Ollie Bellew is the new Cavan senior hurling manager.

Bellew, who guided his club St Gall's to their first ever county SHC title in 2014, replaces Galway's Michael Carr in the role. 

He also served as a selector and coach with the Antrim senior hurlers and managed the county to minor and U21 success.

Bellew's backroom team will be confirmed in due course.
