Tyrone manager Mickey Harte believes that his charges, Roscommon and Cork are playing for second place in the group.

Harte feels that last weekend’s win over Roscommon puts them in the lead for the race to secure a place in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final.

The experience Tyrone manager states in the Roscommon Herald that all three are chasing a Dublin side who he reckons will top the group.

The Ulster side face Cork in Croke Park this weekend and Harte knows that a win there will guarantee them a place in the last four.

“It’s an important step and now we see how we go with Cork next week. Roscommon, Cork and ourselves have figured out that we’re probably playing for second place here because we’re in the group with the All-Ireland champions who are going for a five-in-a-row,” said Harte.

“So, realistically, we’re all chasing that second place and to get a win in the first game gives us a headstart.”
