Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald has included Ian Byrne in his travelling party to Boston.

Fitzgerald will bring a 24-man squad to the States where they will play in the Fenway Classic on Sunday. Amongst those named in the squad is Ferns St Aidan’s clubman Ian Byrne.

The 26-year-old didn’t feature for the Model County in 2018, but has returned to the fold and will be eager to impress Stateside.

Also included in the squad are Oylegate-Glenbrien’s Seamus Casey and Adamstown’s James Breen, while the Naomh Eoin contingent of Conor McDonald, Gary and Eoin Molloy and Cathal Dunbar will not be travelling and either will St Martin’s clubmen Rory O’Connor and Willie Devereux.

Wexford have had little time to prepare for the tournament, but they will use the experimental rules to sharpen their skills ahead of the Walsh Cup next month.
