Sunday Mass at Roscommon GAA club grounds

July 05, 2020

Outside the St Faithleach's GAA club grounds in Roscommon.

St Faithleach's GAA in Ballyleague hosted a drive-thru Sunday Mass ceremony this morning.

Many churches and places of worship across the country opened their doors for the first time since the Covid-19 lockdown today under Phase 3 of lifting public health restrictions.

But due to limits on the number of people allowed to attend Masses, some parishes particularly in rural areas such as Kilgefin are coming up with creative ideas so more parishioners can practice their religion together in a safe environment.

There were plenty of cars at the St Faithleach's club grounds as the Mass was said from a makeshift altar beside the dressing rooms.
