Tom Larkin RIP.

Tipperary GAA is mourning the loss of former All-Ireland winning hero Tom Larkin, whose funeral mass took place in his native Kilsheelan today.

Tom was an integral part of the Tipp team that claimed Liam MacCarthy Cup glory in 1958 and won Munster and league titles with the Premier County.

Tom Larkin lined out on the forty as Galway were well beaten, 4-9 over 2-5, in that 58 final. Flanking Tom were two budding stars stars Donie Nealon and Jimmy Doyle, players who would go on to become Premier County legends.

He also represented the Tipperary seniors footballers during a 20-year playing career and managed his native Kilsheelan-Kilcash to county senior football titles in 1968 and 1972.

"A star in every sense of the word," Kilsheelan-Kilcash GAA paid a fitting tribute to their legendary clubman on Facebook.
