Carnacon have been reinstated into the Mayo Ladies football championship but the eight players that walked away from the county squad have been handed four-week suspensions.

The club has also been fined €500 following a Connacht Council Appeal meeting in Ballyhaunis last night.

The Mayo County Board had originally thrown the reigning county, Connacht and All-Ireland champions out of the competition but they successfully appealed that decision.
