The late Liam Tolan

Friends, family and teammates of former Meath minor footballer Liam Tolan have came together to mark the 10th anniversary of his tragic death.

The popular Skryne clubman died on 23 May 2010 having played for his county before being involved in a road accident hours later.

A stylish corner forward, Liam was a key member of the Meath Vocational Schools' team that won the Leinster SFC title for the fourth successive year in 2010.

Liam Tolan RIP.

'Liamo', as he was affectionately known, also lined out for the county minors in 2009 and helped Ashbourne CS to the All-Ireland Vocational Schools SFC final in the same year.

On the day of his 10th anniversary, his school Ashbourne CS have released a fitting tribute video on Facebook with lovely words to remember their late friend and teammate.
