Difficult match to call here. Firstly, we avoided the cats in the draw and so we have a chance of reaching the All-Ireland semi v Galway. After attending the Offaly & Wexford matches over the last couple of weeks, I think its going to be very difficult for us to win this.

JBM still doesnt know his best 15, but at least there is plenty of young lads gaining championship experience. Our biggest two problems in my opinion, is our lack of physicality in the team & the full back position. We were out muscled in a lot of battles in the last two matches and our strongest presence on the pitch (Pa Cronin) doesn't always throw his weight around either.

JBM has tried McDonnell, Brian Murphy & Damien Cahalane at 3 but none have done well in that position. The ability of our half forwards to win our puck out is also a concern. On a positive note, the full forward line is playing very well this year and we are certainly putting plenty of scores on the board.

I think Waterford may just edge this though as they seem to have a more settled, better balanced team. However if we can reproduce the performance we put in against Tipp, then we will have every chance. Lets hope our lads do that.

agreed rebel og as i have said on other forums jbm doesnt really know his best 15 yet against offaly and wexford we never got going and were playing short hurling,so for what its worth i think fast ball to the forwards with respect to offaly and wexford those games didn have a championship feel to it that wont be the case against waterford and i fully expect us to be firing on all systems from a personal point of view i really belive gardiner should be in the team i said cadogan at full back but thinking about it didn gardiner play there against galway a few seasons ago when the rock was takin off and put the shackles on big joe canning however i am confident we will beat waterford and if we do as for galway well who knows?

After the bashing that we got in hurling league final it seemed like that we had no chance in the championship . However we are now in the QF and can not meet Tip or Kilkenny before the final we are in with a good chance of reaching the final and should we get there who knows we could win it

One thing is certain about this Cork team we are going to get better with each game

Fantastic win which gives us a great chance of getting to the all ireland however Galway are far too strong for this cork team..they are a physically stronger team and cork will find it very hard to cope...but this galway team is an enigma..they can perform and hammer kilkenny one week and could be very bad the next day...no disrespect to galway but i wish for the latter to happen

also fairplay to semple yesterday for providing fans with a laugh at a very tense point of the match yeaterday with car lights being left on
