The late Paddy O'Neill The death took place at Marymount Hospice, Cork, on April 14, 2006, of Paddy O'Neill, of Glounthaune, and formerely of Bauravilla. Paddy was a member of the well-known O'Neill family who farmed at Bauravilla and also owned the pub at Bauravilla for many years. Paddy was a great servant of the O'Donovan Rossa GAA club in Skibbereen in the 1960s and was an outstanding back on some great Rossa junior football teams of the 60's. Paddy won a Munster Colleges football medal with Colaiste Iosagain in 1957, a West Cork minor medal with Rossa, a SW junior championship titles in 1961 and 63, and numerous other league medals with the club. Paddy, who spent many years teaching in Glounthaune, was a very active member of the Erin's Own club, and many of the players who were in the Erin's Own team that beat the Rossas in the county junior football final last November would have been trained by Paddy in the early years. Paddy is survived by his wife Rita, daughters Sinead, Cliona, Eimear and Aoife. Courtesy of The Southern Star 22 April 2006
