The death occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin of Denis Hyland, formerly Upper Cork Street, Mitchelstown.
The late Denis was well known in Mitchelstown prior to his move to Dublin where he lived at Anne's Court, Woodpark, Ballinteer.
There was a large attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from O'Brien's Funeral Home, Mitchelstown to the local parish church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to the adjoining cemetery.
