Launch of the Munster Ladies Football 7's

The launch of the 2012 Munster Ladies Gaelic Football Association 7's tournament in association with Scally's Supervalu and the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty was held on Friday, June 8 in front of a large crowd.
The tournament will again be hosted by Clonakilty Ladies Football Club for the second year in succession, at the ably-equipped Ahamilla complex just outside the West Cork town.
Chairman of the Clonakilty Ladies Football Club, Donal Collins, expressed his thanks to all teams that have entered this year's tournament, and said that it was great to have club representation on the night of the launch.
"I'd like to extend a special thanks to the Munster Council for their co-operation thus far, and I'd also like to thank Clonakilty GAA and Clonakilty Camogie clubs, with whom we have always had a strong working relationship with," Donal said.
"We are extremely thankful to the Scally family for their sponsorship of this tournament. This event would not happen without sponsorship, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to this family for their support," Donal concluded.
President of the Munster Ladies Football Brian Enright welcomed all officers to the launch, and spoke of his delight to be involved in this year's tournament.
"I hope all clubs have a fantastic time this year, and fingers crossed the weather will work in our favour on the day," he added. "I would also like to pay tribute to the photographers present here tonight, and I would like to wish all teams the very best of luck on June 23," Brian finished.
Margaret O Rourke was present at the launch to represent the Scally family on the night, and spoke of the family's delight to again be sponsoring the tournament.
"On behalf of the Scally family, we are delighted to be associated again with this year's tournament," Margaret said. "Last year's tournament was a credit to all involved, and we all appreciate and acknowledge the benefit that sport brings to all involved."
Finally, PRO of the Munster Ladies Gaelic Football Association, Kieran Keane, echoed the sentiments of those who spoke, and thanked the referees and pitch co-ordinators in advance for their hard work.
