Clean bill of health for Cork

05 June 2012
Cork manager Conor Counihan will have the luxury of a full squad to pick from when he sits down with his selectors to pick the starting fifteen for Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final against Kerry.

"We're looking okay," Counihan told the Irish Times. "Everyone is injury free and there'll be some tough decisions to be made."

Counihan will announce his team on Thursday night and he is eagerly anticipating the latest instalment of one of gaelic football's greatest rivalries.

"You wonder sometimes is it a matter of ticking a number of boxes each year or doing something different because you have to take very game on its own merits.

"But I'm looking forward to it. Cork and Kerry have their own rivalry and everyone loves bragging rights.

"There's also more certainty in going through the front door and less games. We'll have players involved with their clubs and club championships and that always carries the risk of injuries so you'd be anxious not to play any more matches that you have to," he concluded.
