90-year-old Jimmy Bracken sings The Turfman from Ardee as members of the Daingean GAA club finish out their Turf-a-thon challenge.
After four successive weekends of turning, footing, heaping and drawing turf for those in need during the Covid-19 restrictions, Daingean GAA have completed their Turf-a-thon challenge at Mount Lucas bog.
As the hard working volunteers of the Offaly club were finishing out their final plot on Mount Lucas, 90-year-old Jimmy Bracken provided some entertainment with his own version of the popular folk song The Turfman from Ardee.
Jimmy can carry a tune too!
