It was a massive day in the football championship with the Munster final taking place as well as seven second-round Qualifiers.

Old rivals Cork and Kerry went head to head for provinical honours down south, while the stakes were arguably even higher in the back-door section, where some of the stand-out fixtures included Derry V Laois, Longford V Tyrone, Monaghan V Armagh and Down V Mayo.

The first of the day's matches threw in at 3pm (Antrim V Kildare), with games taking place throughout the afternoon and evening thereafter, culminating in three huge encounters at 7pm.

Today was the longest Saturday of the year so it was apt that we had such a feast of gaelic football on our hands!
