Fermanagh manager Rory Gallagher is keen to make the most of the fact that Cork’s record on the road in the NFL is not great.

The Ulster side entertain the Leesiders at Brewster Park this Sunday afternoon and Gallagher is keen for his charges to get off to a good start.

Speaking to the Fermanagh Herald, Gallagher pointed to Cork’s poor away record in the league and stressed that his charges have to take full advantage.

“Any time Cork came to me when we were in Donegal we won and when we went to them, we lost, it was that simple,” said Gallagher.

“It’s a long haul. I know Donegal is that bit further than even Enniskillen, but the travelling is a strain.

“Teams are comfortable in their home environment. Going to the likes of Armagh, Letterkenny and Navan is tough, but they’re all an hour and half from Enniskillen so it’s not that bad. At this point in time though, the whole focus is on Cork.”
